                    5 Symptoms of ALS

 

1. Muscle weakness in one of the following: hands, arms, legs or the muscles of speech, swallowing or breathing.

2. Twitching (fasciculation) and cramping of muscles, especially those in the hands and feet.

3. Impairimant of the use of the arms and legs.

4. "Thick speech" and difficulty in projecting the voice.

5. *In ore advanced stages* Shortness of breath and difficulty in breathing and swallowing.
